Sometimes you want to love,
You want it to bind you to life.
In the pit of despair you choose a poisoned heart.
Then, slowly, you begin to change.
You realize you are not made of love alone.
Perhaps your heart, like a romantic rose,
falls to the curse of Medusa.
When your heart turns to stone,
you look into the eyes of love's curse!
"What did you do to me?"
"What did you leave of me?"
"You left no room for love in my heart!"
I did not become this way without reason.
I, too, used to love once.
When a star fell across the sky,
I would wish my beloved beside me.
But I want it no longer.
I am not a God.
I cannot love everyone.
I cannot love anyone.
